National Priorities
DC4D members chose to focus on ten key national priorities. We asked the candidates about their positions, and researched their records and platforms on these issues. We ask all readers to keep in mind the fact that we are an all-volunteer organization whose members have devoted their spare time to this research.

DC for Democracy’s Endorsement Criteria
The endorsement was limited to candidates who have participated in at least one Democratic National Committee (DNC)-sponsored television debate before September 20, 2007, namely: Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Chris Dodd, John Edwards, Mike Gravel, Dennis Kucinich, Barack Obama, and Bill Richardson. These candidates were mailed candidate questionnaires on July 27, 2007 by certified mail/return receipt requested. Responses were requested by August 17, 2007, but late responses will be accepted. Responding to the questionnaire was not a prerequisite for being listed on the endorsement ballot.
